This was bought for me by one of my best friends for Christmas (she blogs here). I don’t think I have been more in love with a lip product ever. It is a liquid to matte lip stain and it is amaazzing. It dries super matte but it’s not drying and it doesn’t pull or cling to the dry patches. I’ve heard some complaints of it bleeding but I haven’t had this issue. One of my flatmates complimented me on it so many times and couldn’t stop going on about how it actually looked like velvet (he may have been drunk at the time but it still counts).
The Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet has to have one of the best lasting times of all the lip sticks I own. There is very little transfer onto glasses if any and once its dry (few seconds) your good to go. I think I reapplied this once on a night of drinking and even then it was only a little touch up. I do find that with my not so very steady hands it is not the easiest product to apply due to the shape of the applicator but it can quickly be tidied up and the benefits far out-way that one downside.
Extra plus points, I love the packaging and it actually smells like cake or vanilla or something like that. In short it smalls amazing. At £13.50 its a little pricier than I usually pay for a lip product however I definitely think it is worth it.
I am now tempted to get suedeberry and pink velvet. Especially pink velvet. Who am I kidding? Soon these two will also be in my collection.

Anyone else in love with these?
I saw a post on Marvelle’s blog about a Minnie Mouse & Etude House collaborations and I knew I had to have it. I love lipstick and I love disney so it was a no brainer that it had to be mine. I was tempted to get the red one but I already have so many reds and I thought the pink would be a great every day colour.
I adore the packaging including the box the lipstick came in. The colour is gorgeous and looks great for a toned down everyday look. Most of my lipsticks are bright colours so this is a great addition to my collection. The colour pay off is good and its a creamy formular that applies well. It faded into a nice tint but didn’t last as long as some of my other lipsticks but I don’t mind reapplying as its an excuse to whip out the tube and show off the amazing packaging. It is well worth the money and I’m tempted to get the red too.
I got it for about £5.72 with free delivery that was dispatched within a day and arrived within about 2 weeks. I got it from ebay and this is the buyer I used.
Tempted to buy?
Already tried, what do you think?
As mentioned in my Chester haul post I recently purchased the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I’ve never bought anything from Lush before so was excited to try this. I love this product so much. It smells amazing, tastes delicious and it leaves my lips feeling super soft. The only thing I have noticed is a few spots appearing around my mouth where I obviously haven’t got rid of all the sugar before going to bed, so now I just pay extra attention when washing my face after using the scrub.
If you’re a lover of wearing lipstick but suffer from chapped lips and find it clings to dry patches I would highly recommend giving this a go. You just whack it on, rub it in and lick it off and there are a few delicious flavours to choose from.
What’s your favourite flavour?
Sorry once again for the lack of posts. I don’t know where the time has gone. I have written up a load today and scheduled them so there will now be posts a bit more often now.
I’ve wanted a darker lipstick for autumn for a while but have been too nervous to try one then I had a bad day and ended up in Superdrug (fatal I know). I treated myself to Rimmels moisture renew lipstick in 380 Dark night waterl-oops (I was very proud of myself for only buying one thing).
This lipstick is a dark berry colour and I’m so glad I chose it. I have found it has the tendency to bleed so I’m going to try it with lip liner (I’m normally really lazy). It also highlights dry patches so if your going to wear it make sure you prep your lips.
The formula of this lipstick is gorgeous. It’s really creamy, you know the texture that makes you constantly want to rub your lips together. It also lasts for 3-4 hours and fades to a lovely tint.
If you are looking for a darker lipstick for autumn I would highly recommend checking out rimmels moisture renew range as they have some gorgeous colours. I may treat myself to some more.
What lipstick are you loving for the colder weather?
I first came across Lime Crime on Marvelle’s blog over at Blog of Shadows. Go check her out, her blog is awesome and she has some amaazing Halloween looks up at the moment (including a killer Maleficient and Katy Perry including blue wig) if you need some inspiration.
So I have now fallen in love with the colours of available and I need some of these lipsticks in my life.
From the Candyfuture collection I really want (L-R) Poisonberry, Retrofuturist and Centrifuschia. These are £11.50 each
The ones I am in love with and must have are the Velvetine collection in Suedeberry and Red velvet which are also £11.50 each. I need Red velvet in my life I just don’t know if I can justify spending £11.50 on a lipstick for myself.
Has anyone tried anything from lime crime, if so what are your thoughts on the brand?
Should I treat myself?
I’ve been meaning to do a review on these Bourjois color boost lip colours for ages but never had them in the same place to take pictures. I won these from a competition run by Superdrug on Twitter. They do a lot of competitions where you just have to retweet them so I would definitely suggest following them. I was so excited because I never win anything and I wanted to try these for ages but never actually bought them. Even better I was only expecting to win one colour but I got all 4 which at £7.99 I’m not sure I would have got them all.
(L-R, Red Sunrise, Fuchsia Libre, Orange Punch, Peach on the Beach)
I love these glossy finish lip colours. The go on really well and feel so good on. They are really moisturising and smooth. They’re really pigmented which you usually loose in glossy lip colours. They aren’t particularly long lasting but I’m not bothered by this because they look good and they feel so good to put on giving your lips a shot of moisture.
I wear Orange punch the most. Its such a gorgeous colour and looks great when you don’t want a statement lip but still want a pop of colour. The Red sunrise and fuchsia libre are a lot brighter and look great. They’re good if you want to try a bright lip but aren’t quite confident to try a lipstick. The only colour I’m not sure about is the peach on the beach. As mentioned in my Selfridges beauty box post, I’m not a pale pink kinda girl so I’m really not sure if I like this or not. A few people have said it looked good but I don’t think I’ll be wearing it much.
I do love these and will definitely be wearing them a lot this summer and as I’ve said I’ve worn the Orange Punch one every day that I haven’t been rocking one of my many bright lipsticks. They are great to throw on when you aren’t feeling great and don’t have the energy to put mak-eup on. They’re quick and easy and make you look like you’ve made an effort. They are also great if you suffer from chapped lips as they moisturise and don’t cling to the dry patches.
Anyone else tried them? Do you like them?
As you may know I have a massive lipstick obsession. The brighter the better. The Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid lipsticks completely feed my addiction to bright lips.
These colours are both gorgeous and bright. They feel creamy when going on and they don’t dry out my lips. I also tend to have chapped lips a lot and the good thing about these lipsticks is because they are nourishing they hide the cracks and make my lips look smooth, healthy & gorgeous. It goes on really well.
Even my nan complemented my lipstick the other day and she never complements me. I get asked how I made it stay on so long & I had no answer. I had just whacked it on & left the house. I did have to reapply it but only after about 4 hours and it had survived 2 cups of coffee, a bottle of water a raspberry bun & a cheese baguette. I often wear it to lectures & it lasts hours, remaining bright. It also lasts without drying out lips or clinging to dry skin.

906 Hot Plum
I have 3 of the colours 902 Fuchsia Flash, 906 Hot Plum & 910 Shocking coral. The hot plum is the colour I wear the most. Between starting to write this post and getting round to taking pictures I seem to have lost the Fuchsia one but when I find it I’ll put a picture up. This is the lipstick brand I wear the most and at £7.19 I plan on getting some other colours.
