Recent Haul

So as you can see my spending ban is going well although my mum did buy me a few of these and I thought I’d show you the gifts my dad bought back from Gambia at the end of the post.

So here’s what I gave in and purchased

River Island Black Floral Print Kimono £35 £17

As mentioned in a wishlist a few posts ago I’m really loving kimono’s and this was top of the want list even though I’m not a floral person. However, I couldn’t justify £35. I saw it on sale on-line but the didn’t have my size so I popped into the store and there was one left in my size which was obviously fate and meant I had to have it

River Island Grey New York Beanie £10 £5

I’m addicted to beanies as it means I don’t have to do my hair and don’t yet own a grey one and as it was in the sale I couldn’t really say no. I love this and have worn it rather a lot since

Cream Floral Lace Kimono £19.99

Not normally a flowers or lace kinda girl but I fell in love with this. I thought in the summer it would look great dressed up with a dress or down with a vest top and denim shorts.

Blue Tribal Print Mini Tube Skirt £9.99

I’m a massive fan of bodycon skirts and bright prints so this was perfect and love at first site.

Hudson & Rose Navy Drawstring Shorts £9.99

These are so comfy and even made it to my revision and bad pain day wardrobe post the other day and I may have to go out and get some more maybe in the other colours.

Acid Wash Lace Dress £12

This is going to be perfect for summer but it also looks great with black tights so can be worn all year

Polka Dot Skirt £8

Once again bodycon and prints. Getting into midi skirts at the moment as they’re really good casual wear as I’m trying to move away from shorts all the time

Printed Jersey Vest £6

Love my vest tops and this one is so comfy

My dad recently went to Africa with his job to help train the fire fighters out there and I’m really jealous as he had an amazing experience, met some lovely people and he got a really good tan.

Here’s the gifts he bought back to make up for the fact that he went without me

These are the gorgeous bangles he got me and I am so in love with them plus they go with everything and he knows jewellery is the way to my heart

Every girl needs a pair of super cheap fake Ray Bans. I’m a complete sunglasses hoarder and apparently every where you go out there someone is selling fake designer sunglasses for a couple of quid. The lenses aren’t even black but I love them anyway.

Beaded necklaces are a must have souvenir

This is my favourite gift and it’s not from my dad. My dad gave a few old Wales rugby shirts we had lying around to a woman and her family and she gave him this necklace to give to me. Its gorgeous.

So what have you been spending your pennies on recently or have you been good?

Models Own Sale Haul

As you may all know I am a huge nail polish addict so when I saw Model’s Own was having a 50% off sale I had to get some, it would have been rude not to. I even got up especially which was probably a mistake as we crashed the site when the sale went live but after a lot of perseverance my order went through. I only ordered it at 11am yesterday and it arrived today. I haven’t tried any of it yet as I cant decide what colour to use first but here’s what I got

Matt Top Coat

White Nail Art Pen

Snow White Nail Polish

Blueberry Muffin Fruit Pastel Scented Polish

Pink Veneer HyperGel

Coral Glaze HyperGel

Cerise Shine HyperGel

Turquoise Gloss HyperGel

Blue Glint HyperGel

So if you haven’t already you should definitely head over to Models Own and check out their sale. All their polishes are now £2.50 and nail art pens £3.00. It ends midnight on Feb 4th.

What colours will you be picking up?

After Exams Haul

I’m really bad around exams time for treating myself. I had three exams and one assignment to be done last week and I seemed to treat myself after all of them. So here’s what I treated myself to.

 Nivea Express Hydration Primer: £4.99

This was more of a need as my primer has nearly run out, I am in love with this primer and at £4.99 it is a bargain plus it has lasted me about 6 months of almost every day use. I did a full review here

Glass jars: £1.99 each

I got these in B&M. I have wanted some glass jars to put my make up brushes and mascara and eyeliner in for ages so I don’t have to empty my makeup bag looking for them every time. The shorter one is a tea light holder and is perfect for my mascara and I plan on getting another one for my hair bobbles. The taller one is a tooth brush holder and fits my make up brushes nicely and I may get another one for my eyeliner

Rimmel Salon Pro in Urban Purple: £4.49

Seventeen Gel Colour in Emerald Tropics: £3.99

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blue Grape: £3.99

Maybelline Color Show Street Art in Alley Attitude: £3.99

Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Espresso £3.99

Okay so I may have a slight addiction to nail polish. I got the two Barry M polishes in a two for £6 deal and the same with the Rimmel one except my friend got the other one in the deal. The maybelline street art top coat is amazing and I am in love, expect a post soon. I did a look using the matte Barry M polish here.

Plain Band Midi ring: £8.00 paid £5.76

Show Me The Way Midi ring: £12.00 paid £8.64

I absolutley adore shop dixi rings and I want them all especially the midi rings. I currently have three and will do a post on them soon. I wasn’t planning on buying them but they had a 28% off deal so it would have been rude not to.

Cream Colour Fleck Bobble Hat: £4.00 paid £3.19

This hat was down from £7.99 to £4.00 so I already had to have it but then New look were also doing a 20% student discount instead of the usual 10% so it was knocked down again. I am a massive hat fan mainly because I’m lazy when it comes to doing my hair so adding another one to my collection for just over £3 had to be done.

Models Own Velvet Goth Collection

And last but definitely not least I entered a competition on the Models Own facebook page and won the Velvet Goth collection. It made my day after a horrible exam. I had been tempted to buy the rest of the collection after falling in love with absinthe which I posted about here. I don’t know which colour to try first.

You should definitely all go and like their facebook page because if they get to 250,000 likes before the 31st January they are doing a massive 50% off sale which would be amazzing.

Anyone else spend a fortune after exams?

Chester Haul

Not last week but the week before me and a friend took a trip to Chester for a spot of shopping. I was so excited because we don’t have a Primark where I live so I had a chance to go there but obviously I was most excited for the Disney Shop like the big kid I am. So here’s what I got

Christmas Pj shorts £4.00

My friend was horrified that I didn’t own any christmas pyjamas and these are so soft and comfy I had to have them.

Jumper £14

My friend was equally horrified if not more that I didn’t have a Christmas jumper. This was as close as I was going. Not really a fan of the ones with Santa on that you can only wear at Christmas. I think I can get away with this for all of winter. This is also really soft and soo cosy.

Penguin gloves £2

I forgot my gloves and because of my poor circulation and raynauds my fingers were so painful even though it wasn’t that cold. Luckily I saw these cuties and for only £2 they had to be mine.

New Look

Bad Hair Day hat £6.99

I have wanted this hat ever since I tried it on and then stupidly didn’t buy it a month ago. Every time I went into my local store it had sold out and was even sold out when I checked online. I gave up hope and decided we just weren’t meant to be. I have never been so happy when I went into the Chester store and it was there. I grabbed it immediately and didn’t let go. I even swapped hats and wore it home and it’s been attached to my head most days since.

Penguin travel mug £5.99

I am in love with these mugs. I already own two but they are so handy especially when my hands are playing up and this one is covered in penguins and it matches my new gloves so I kinda had to get it 🙂

Bubblegum Lip Scrub £5.50

My lips are really dry at the moment and as I’m addicted to lip stick I need my lips to be in tip top condition. Heard loads of good things about this so thought I;d give it a go. So far I am in love.

Lasting finish lipstick by kate in 110 £5.49

Obviously I got drawn into boots and it was 3 for 2 on everything so it would have been rude not to get anything. I have wanted to try this colour for ages so finally treated myself and I love it.

seventeen phwoarr paint £5.49

My under eye bags are getting ridiculous so as this is a heavy duty under eye concealer I thought I’d give it a whirl. It seems to do the job.

Models Own Velvet Goth in Absinthe £5.00 (free)

I have wanted to try this range ever since I saw the first swatches but have hesitated but as it was free thought I’d give it a go. I will be putting up a full review so you can wait to here about my thoughts.

Disney Shop

Sulley Cushion £12

I actually got 2 of these as I got my brother one too. I love sulley and these were reduced so I had to. He is super soft and I have an obsession with soft fluffy things so it was fate that we ended up together.

Sulley cup £3.75

This was also reduced and I needed to replace the glass I broke. I looked like I had a Sulley obsession when I took the 2 cushions and this to the checkout 🙂

Christmas Pascal £4.99

There was an offer on that when you spent over £10 you could get pascal for £4.99 instead of £8.99. I thought it would be rude not to as tangled is one of my favourite films and I love Pascal although his face on this toy is kinda creepy.

Hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows had to be had

I was so tempted to buy this hat but I felt a bit over the top. It was really cosy and so fluffy.

And the day was ended perfectly with waffles and smoothie in Patisserie Valerie

E.l.f Haul

I’ve never bought anything from E.l.f before but I’ve had it recommended it to me quite a few times. I was doing some online window shopping one night when I couldn’t sleep when I saw they had a 50% off if you spent £20 offer so I thought I’d have a browse, I mean who can resist 50% off.

Spending £20 was easy and it felt so good to see my £20.75 order turn to £10.38. So here’s what I treated myself to.

Brow comb and brush £1.50

I keep having to borrow my flatmates one so thought it was time to replace my broken one and £1.50 isn’t exactly going tp break the bank.

32 pc Eyeshadow palette (colour brights) £6.00

I don’t actually own much eyeshadow. I’m not very confident at applying it but I’m hoping to change that so thought I’d get this to play around with

Eyelid primer in sheer £1.50

I’ve heard loads of good things about this so thought I’d give it a go.

Long wear lip liner in Bitter £1.50

I got this as my new Rimmel lipstick which I blogged about here has a tendency to bleed so thought this might help. It seems to be a pretty good colour match and I will be trying out tonight for fireworks so I will let you know.

Studio Matte Lip colour in Rich Red £3.75

Studio Lip Lock Pencil £3.75

I’ve wanted a matte lip colour for a while as all of my many lipsticks are a slight glossy finish. I’ve worn this once and I’m in love. I decided to get the lip lock pencil to see if I can get my favourite colour lipstick that never seems to want to stick around to last longer. I haven’t tried this yet but I will get back to you.

Tinted moisturiser in nude £3.75

I’ve wanted a tinted moisturiser for ages for days when I really can’t be bothered with make-up. I’ve tried this once and I really like it.

Did anyone else treat themselves with the offer?

What are your favourite E.l.f products?

Boots Haul

I was going to be a good girl and not go into boots but somehow my Dad of all people talked me into going in. I even talked myself out of buying anything and he talked me back into it. I have no idea why he wanted me to spend money. Maybe its so he could tell me off for spending too much afterwards, which he so did even though it was his fault I was spending money. He even told me I had an make-up problem. He made up for it by buying me a large mango and passion fruit cooler at Costa though which was delicious.

So here’s what I got. In my defence Maybelline was 3 for 2 and 2 of the products I’ve wanted for ages.

Boots haul

Balmi Moisturising Lip Balm in Raspberry, £4.99: I wouldn’t spend this much on a lip balm but it said it was £2.99 and I’ve only just realised that I got charged £4.99. Not impressed with boots.  This is why I’m a Superdrug girl. I’d love to shop at Superdrug more but the 2 places I’ve been shopping only had a Boots.

Maybelline eyestudio color tattoo 24hr cream gel eyeshadow in turquoise, £4.99: This was on my wishlist a few weeks ago. Wanted it for ages. Hope it lives up to my expectations.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Pleasure Me Red, £3.99: Needed a red lip liner for ages.

Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner, £5.99: Not impressed with boots price labelling. All around this eyeliner it said £4.99 turns out it was £5.99. Not so bothered by this one as I would have actually paid that. It has an ultra fine tip and on the quick test run I gave it it seems really good.

What are you guys buying? What do you think of my Haul? An are you guys Boots or Superdrug fans?

My Clothes and Accessories Haul

Okay so here’s the second part of my haul post. This one is what clothes and accessories I picked up in George at ASDA, New Look and River Island.

George black and white stripe top

I got this vest from George at ASDA but I can’t find the link. It was about £6.00 I think. I love the pattern on it and it’ll be great with a pair of denim shorts and its long enough to go with leggings too.

george heart tshirt

This heart t-shirt is also from George and was £6.00.  This is a great casual t-shirt to just chuck on and go. I’ll probably be wearing it with denim shorts.

New look black and white print top

Monochrome Aztec Crochet Back Vest £12.99: As you may be able to tell Im a big fan of black and white. Its so easy to wear. I love the print on this top and the crochet detail on the back.

New look denim look dress

Blue Acid Wash Sleeveless Skater Dress £12.99: I’ve been looking for a dress to wear during the day for ages but have struggled as a lot of them have a high neckline that doesn’t really work with big boobs. This dress is prefect. The skater style is really flattering and the neckline isn’t too high. It can also be worn in winter with tights. I’m so glad I found this dress. It was the only one I saw in the shop and it was in my size so fate was saying it had to be mine. The material is stretchy and really soft so it’ll be great for just chucking on and being comfy. Also be great for those days when my fibromyalgia means my skin hates the contact of clothes.

New look denim top

Blue Sleeveless Denim Shirt down from £14.99 to £7.00 in the Sale: I’ve been looking at these for ages and this will be great to just chuck on as an extra layer over a vest and left undone. At £7 I couldn’t really not get it.

New look grey blazer

Charcoal Lightweight Jersey Blazer £19.99: I am obsessed with blazers. I have two others one in a pale peach colour and another one in a brighter orangey/peachy colour so I’ve been looking for a more neutral colour that I can wear with everything. As soon as I saw this one I hoped they had it in my size as I needed to own it.

New look navy shoes

Navy Lace Up Plimsolls £11.99 I tend to have to wear slightly sensible shoes due to my weak and stroppy ankles. These are great as they are lace up and they are roomy enough that I can fit my ankle supports in them (sexy). I’ll probably be wearing these most days.

New Look Earrings and Bracelet

New look Gold and black double pyramid cuff bracelet £1.00 in Sale: Couldn’t really not get this for a quid. I’m not normally a gold jewellery kinda girl but I’m slowly changing my mind especially as it goes with my tan.

New Look Turquoise Dream catcher hoop earrings £3.00 in Sale: I’m a sucker for dangly earrings and I love dream catchers and turquoise so when I saw these in the sale I had to have them.

River Island Green Purse

River Island Green Laser Cut Clip Top Purse £17.00: I’ve needed a new purse for about 6 months now and I love River Islands handbags and purses. I’ve been popping in for ages now but they’ve never had a purse that’s caught my (plenty of handbags though unfortunately). I decided to have a look and this one jumped out at me as soon as I walked in so it is now happily living in my handbag.

What do you think of my purchases? What are you buying?
